Beauty, Make Up

Everyday Face feat. the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit

ALEeveryday

We already know how I feel about the Ambient Lighting Edit palette. If you don’t check out my review here, so you’re up to speed. If you don’t feel like reading that, basically I’m obsessed with it.

I’ve used my ALE palette everyday (that I’ve worn make up) since I got it about a month ago. I’ve found that I can use the powders for nearly everything I need for a quick, glowy, everyday look that will look nice even when I’m sweatily strapping people into bikinis for eight hours (that’s my job, I don’t do it for fun).

Want to know how I get a ten minute face with as few products as possible? Keep scrolling, mate!

First, the face: We want glowy and bronzy, not oily, so we start off by prepping the skin with L’Oreal Infallible Matte Primer. (Tip: I read that swiping a silicone-based primer will yield better results than patting, etc.) Next, we’ll blend in some foundation, I use my HG drugstore foundation, L’Oreal Infallible Matte Foundation. Then concealer, in places where one needs to conceal. For zits and other evil skin lurkers, I use Maybelline Fit Me, and under the eyes I mix Fit me with Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer.

Next comes the fun part. Are you ready to look like a glowing angel goddess? Lezdothis. First, I swipe Dim Light all over the skin to set, then Diffused Light to set the under eyes and keep them nice and bright. Then, I go crazy with Luminous Bronze Light, since it’s so build-able, I just slap that shit all over because I enjoy looking bronzed. I like to use either of the blushes depending on how I’m feeling that day. Mood Exposure is a great goes-with-any-look shade and looks very natural, while Luminous Flush definitely adds a bright pop of color to the cheeks. Finally, I dust the Iridescent Strobe Light on my cheekbones, above the brows, bridge of the nose, and cupids bow. I find that tapping off some of the excess on my hand before I apply helps to give a glowy effect rather than a glittery one.

Next are the eyes: To keep it simple, I literally just rub my finger in the bronzer and then pat it onto my eyelid and into the crease a bit. Sometimes I’ll put Diffused and Iridescent Light into the inner corners. That’s all. For lashes, I’ve been loving the Revlon Ultimate All-In-One mascara, and I’ll swipe some L’Oreal Brow Artist Plumper through the brows to tame and shape them.

We’re almost done! Lips: Put whatever you want on your lips, since this look goes with pretty much anything. I’ve been loving Charlotte Tilbury’s Amazing Grace lipstick for a pop of pink.

Too easy, right? Do you have any genius all-in-one products that you reach for every day? Let me know in the comments!
